Bethel Central Girl Scouts serve girls in Grades Kindergarten through 12 who live or go to school in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania.

Aug 15th-17th - Camping at Camp Conshatawba


Weekend at Camp Conshawtaba
August 15-17, 2014 

The Bethel Central Service Unit will be celebrating the end of summer and the start of a new Girl Scout program year with a Weekend at Camp Conshatawba on August 15th through August 17th.  Swimming and fun for all at one of the best camps owned by Girl Scouts of Western Pennsylvania plus opportunities for archery, doing a challenge course, experiencing a zip line, and trying out a climbing wall for older scouts. 

The costs for attending camp are:

  • Scouts
    • $45 for all weekend
    • $25 for during the day on Saturday only
  • Adults
    • $25 for all weekend
    • $20 for during the day on Saturday only

Additional fees will be charged for the special activities (challenge course, zip line, climbing wall) - $10 for the challenge course; $20 for the climbing wall & zip line; $30 for all 3 activities.  The fee applies to both scouts and adults.

Note: If choose not to do these activities or are too young to do them, other activities are planned to provide a full program.

Grade Level Restrictions for Activities:

  • Swimming - all grade levels & adults
  • Archery - Brownies & older
  • Challenge Course - Brownies & older
  • Climbing Wall - Brownies & older
  • Zip Line - Juniors & older 

Registration is limited to 209 campers (scouts and adults) and is on a first-come, first-served basis. Since there are only 2 tent units available, troops will be contacted about how they will be assigned.  

Scouts are welcome to attend even if their troop is not planning on attending. You will be placed in a unit with other scouts in your grade level.

Registration will close on Sunday, July 27th. A non-refundable $20 deposit is required by July 31st. Scholarships are available to provide financial assistance to scouts who would like to attend but don't have sufficient funds.  Go to the Scholarship Fund page on www.bethelcentral.org.

All adults are expected to volunteer while at the camp. You will be contacted separately about available volunteer opportunities.

Note: Everyone attending must be a registered Girl Scout.  Adults attending must have completed the adult volunteer application process.
